TASO Log-On Info

To log in on the Member's Portal, click on it, and enter your TASO ID# as the User, then enter TASO2002 (in capital letters - - it's case-sensitive) as the password.  You will then be prompted to change your password and then prompted to go in and update your record completely.  Then, you submit the record for approval and that's it!  Mary Wilson at TASO will get a message that says Record Approval -- she checks to see that it's complete and that the member is current (Active).  Then she approves it....  And from then on, you log on using your TASO ID and the password you created.  Pretty simple!  E-mail Mary Wilson if you have any trouble...

NOTE!!! As of November 1, 2002, many members have been having problems logging on if their browser is Netscape. Please inform your members that it may behoove them to use Microsoft Internet Explorer until the browser problem is attended to.

Also, please note the following e-mail from Robert Cowes at Intra-Focus (the company who is maintaining the programming of the database and web site). It also may be information you should pass on to your members. It may be beneficial for you to e-mail this to your current members:

FROM ROBERT:

I highly recommend that you put out somewhere on the website a page/bulleting board called Portal site usage requirements:

Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/default.asp They can download at this link.

If they are running Windows XP operating system they must download service pack 1.  http://www.microsoft.com/WindowsXP/pro/downloads/servicepacks/sp1/default.asp

They must also enable Active X and Java this is done by clicking on tools>Security>Custom Level>enable all active X controls, Java Applet and also set Java Permissions on low.

These settings should all be included in the system by default, but are often changed by end users.
